This app is made for those who have just arrived in Italy, want to learn Italian and learn more about civil life and how to live and integrate in this country.
The app consists of three parts:
- a didactic section of exercises on the Italian language,
- an informative course of texts on civil life in Italy,
- an agile guide to words and phrases on the body and health.
The app can be used in Italian, as well as English, French, Arabic and Urdu, so that all the important information can be understood even by those who do not know Italian well.
The exercises in the first part are divided into thematic modules on daily topics (home, family, work, shopping ...) which are auto-correcting and composed of texts, images and audio tracks to practice writing, reading and listening to the language.
Thanks to the informative texts in the second part, you can learn more about life in Italy and have practical explanations and advice: how and where to look for work, the rules of safety at work, how to enrol in school, how to use health and social services, what the rights and the duties of people are, how to use public transport, how to get citizenship, what the most important institutions are. Some links to external resources will allow you to expand on these topics.
The third part provides a guide on how to deal with medical examinations and explain physical illness or disease. This part consists of questions and answers translated into Italian and from a map with the names of the parts of the human body.
The app was created by Edizioni La Linea on behalf of the CPIA Metropolitano di Bologna (Centre of Adult Learning, Bologna), thanks to the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (FAMI) 2014-2020 (prog 118) - Future Project in progress - Regional plans for civic and linguistic education of third-country nationals.
